Tell me your resolutions, please!

>> 12.29.2009

I love New Year's Resolutions. I know they are cheesy but I adore them. Something about a fresh start is invigorating. I learned that public declarations help me keep my resolutions. When you tell a lot of people it applies a little pressure. As I was working on my list for 2010 I thought it would be fun to compile a list of resolutions from all of you. That way we can all be accountable together. I enjoy hearing what other people's goals for the upcoming year. Yes, I know this is corny but, like I said, I love resolutions. Here is how to play along:

  1. Email your resolutions to: jaime [at] barksblog [dot] com.
  2. You can send me a picture of yourself holding a piece of paper with your resolution on it, if you are feeling creative. A picture is nice, but not necessary.
  3. They can be serious or silly but no more than 3 per person.
  4. If you have a website/blog make sure to include it so I can link to your page.
I can't wait to hear from you! I am going to post the resolutions on New Year's Day so please get them to me as fast as you can.

Just in case you are wondering, I do pretty well with my resolutions. Last year I resolved to organize my files, clean out my closet and start a book club. I am happy to report that I accomplished all three. Okay, while the book club and file system are still in place I will admit that my closest needs to be cleaned out again. Two out of three resolutions isn't that bad.

PS. Loyal readers may recall that I attempted to post a picture every day. This was not a New Year's resolution but still a public declaration. It was a total failure. TOTAL FAILURE. A friend (Hi Matt L.) was kind enough to point out my shortcoming. So, I thought I would extend a public apology. I am sorry. I am a lazy blogger. Forgive me.

Don't forget to play along. If you don't email me Henry is going to make this face. You don't want to make him sad, do you?
