Henry and the Giant Zucchini

We grow 'um big
I mentioned a while back that we planted a recession garden this summer. It was a wonderful distraction from what felt like my eternal pregnancy. Obviously this last week the garden didn't get much attention, we were a little distracted with a new born. When I finally stumbled outside to pick some veggies and herbs I was shocked to find a zucchini rivaled Henry in size. In addition to squash of unusual size we had cucumbers coming out our ears, our first ripe tomatoes and more basil than I will ever use. All in all I would have to say that our first garden is a success, let just hope we are as successful with our first attempt at parenting!

And I thought our cucumbers were huge- that is crazy! What a funny picture!
It is safe to say that it stayed on the plant a little too long. I think it almost weighs as much as Henry too : )
i think you already are a success at parenting... he's perfect :) and obviously won't go hungry since he has veggies that are bigger than him...

YOu got to submit this picture to the newspaper or some publication! It is just too cute!
Yummy, Zucchini bread! That is genius. I have already stuffed some and roasted some. Bread is the next logical choice.
Yes, Henry will not go hungry and as an adult he will have no shortage of embarrassing pictures for mommy to hold over his head : )
This is absolutely hilarious. I LOVE it!!!
