Lately it seems I keep stumbling upon video blogs. I refuse to call them Vlogs. Something about that title annoys me. Anyway, I am not sure how I feel about them. I thought I would post one and ask for your thoughts and opinions on the subject. Are the corny or cool? I also realize that video blogging means that I couldn't blog in my normal blogging attire -- pajamas and no makeup. So, not really sure if video blogs are realistic. Also, I excessively talk with my hands which looks funny on a video. Anyway, what are your thoughts? Yes, video blogs are great or no they are totally obnoxious (PS I can take the truth).
PS. If you have access to the web camera and a blog I would love to see a video response to video blogging : ).

First of all, I also hate the word vlog! I can't put my finger on why, but I think its a terrible word!
Secondly, for me it depends on what the video blog is about. I really like them if the blogger is talking about a specific topic- such as a book they've read or their thoughts on some issue. However, if someone regularly video blogs about their everyday life, I think they are slightly annoying and self obsessive. How I feel also depends on the blogger- some people are just really good on camera and can make anything interesting, and others aren't.
All that said, if you posted a video blog from time to time just to switch it up a bit, I think I would really enjoy it, no matter what you talked about!
I don't believe video blogs are for everyone, but you definitely pull it off...your expressive nature and natural credibility lends itself well toward video, so I think it's actually pretty cool (I'm a Media Arts major, so I can say that with authority derived from experience). Plus, a video blog would be a fun way for you to keep us posted on the baby bump. For your next video blog, may I request a guest spot for your doggies?
Also you could get that flamer husband of yours to drop in every now and then to scare the bejeezus out of us before we've had our morning coffee.
Well I miss seeing you talk with your hands, so I would watch video blogs posted by you!

I think you could pull this off. (Ofcouse I am a lazy person) I enjoy reading your blog but why read when I could just sit and watch it.
